“[To] do that which … might most tend to the preservation of peace and unity in the Church, [and] the procuring of reverence.

~ Preface of the Book of Common Prayer, 1789

Common life in Christ,

with Common Prayer

Canterbury of Clemson, and our hosts at Holy Trinity Episcopal Parish Clemson, offer a range of options for worship as a community. Together, we use the Book of Common Prayer, which offers set patterns of personal and communal devotions, allowing our theologically diverse church to gather together and worship God with one voice and one heart.

Stop by and worship with us! All are welcome!

Worship Types

Holy Eucharist

“The Holy Eucharist, the principal act of Christian worship on [Sundays] and other major Feasts.” ~ Book of Common Prayer 1979, pg.13

The service of Holy Eucharist is celebrated each Sunday. As the Book of Common Prayer elaborates, it is the time where the local parish gathers to hear the Holy Scriptures proclaimed, pray for the needs of their community and world, and participate in Holy Communion.

Daily Office

“Daily Morning and Evening Prayer, [are] regular services appointed for public worship in the Church.” ~ Book of Common Prayer 1979, pg. 13

The Daily Office is a structured set of prayers to be used daily, corporately or personally. It consists of two major services, Morning and Evening Prayer; with each containing prayers, praises, and Bible readings to form a strong foundation for a Christian life.
